Importance and process of Cashew Tree soil fertilization

It is me again, Chhin Sophal, Chairman of Royal Trust Trading Co., Ltd greeting you from Cambodia and I am grateful and delighted to see the amount of funding increase every time I open the funding page! , once again I would like thank everyone for supporting our endeavor.
Today, I would like to share with you another important process of caring for cashew tree which is fertilization of soil at the base of the tree after harvesting. Usually, our cashew tree harvesting started from around January to May at the latest and we will start the pruning process for better tree growth as well as spreading fertilizer on the soil around the tree at around July or August so that when the flower bloom in November, cashew tree has enough supporting nutrients to grow healthy and provide high yield in the next harvest.
Based on our historical data, with great care and dedication put into pruning, fertilization of soil, and pest prevention, the average harvest of our Cambodian cashew nut is approximately 1-2 ton per hectare of landwith the highest amount go up to 3 ton per hectare. Therefore, Royal Trust will always make sure to provide training and lesson sharing to our farmers to help them understand and become aware of the significant of nursing for the cashew tree instead of letting it naturally grow which only yield around 500-600 kg per hectare.
